I try to make you feel at ease because let's be honest, being in front of the camera isn't always easy. I get it. I'm the same way. Being relaxed and comfortable makes the best images and I try to help you feel that way. I'm crazy and wacky, pulling out all the stops to get kids (sometimes the dads) to smile. Ultimately what I want families to do at my sessions are to play and love on each other. That's what makes the best shots, in my opinion.
I have several places in and around Charlotte and the surrounding areas where I like to shoot. We can discuss your vision and decide on a location together. I don't mind coming to you, whether it's in your home, or a location that is meaningful to you.
The best time of day for a session is about an hour before sunset. The lighting during this time of day is softer, more flattering. It can also have some epic sunsets.

I don't mind attempting a photo shoot as long as it's not pouring rain. I usually leave rescheduling up to the client.
Typically it takes me about two to three weeks to edit a full 1 hour session. It can be longer than that during the Fall when it's a lot busier.
Once I am finished editing your gallery, I will send you a link, a pin to download your gallery, as well as an expiration date. You will be able to download your images through that link. I recommend downloading your images to a computer because they are sent as a zip file.
I recommend printing at Mpix.com. Box stores print colors can be "off" sometimes so I don't recommend them. Mpix occasionally runs sales where you can get relatively inexpensive prints.

I have three kids myself, so I get it. Let me worry about the kids. If mom and dad are constantly telling them what to do, everyone gets stressed. This doesn't make great pictures because the parents are focused on the kids behaving instead of relaxing, smiling, and enjoying the moment. Everyone wants pictures of their kids smiling but ultimately I'm here to capture your kid's personality in the here and now.
Payment is due on the day of your session. I accept cash, Venmo, Apple Cash, and Zelle.
I don't do weddings. I can take engagement or bridal portraits but check with your wedding photographer first to see if it's part of your wedding package.
